Quick Note:

Robert Hur testified on Biden’s memory and this is ridiculous. As previously stated in two differing posts. Firstly, stay in your lane and only speak about things you are actually educated in. This means he was way out of his league speaking about memory. He is only educated in philosophy and law according legitimate biographies online. Plus if he had some advanced psychology knowledge in memory, he would have used terms I know. I would not classify myself as an expert in memory. However, I am trained to give and interpret the Weschler Memory Scale. This test was standardized on people of Biden’s age. Standardized means basically we know what the average person’s memory is for any given age. Furthermore, this memory test takes potentially upwards of 2 hours to administer. It has several subscales as one would intuitively think of, like verbal, spacial, and auditory to name a few. Hur has no documented education to comment on memory.

Secondly, we cannot derive from hearing Robert Hur’s account given to congress any real psychological information. This is testimony given by someone NOT acquainted with memory research NOT done by a trained professional in psychology and/or specifically specializing in memory research. To any MA or PHD in a mental health area this is useless information from him. I would genuinely trust an interview given by an undergraduate student in psychology with a passion for memory research more than Robert Hur.

Thirdly, as I have stated previously I believe all presidents should be tested by experts in many health-related domains as well ad medical evaluations and given to the public. Yes, you should yell HIPPA violation and clearly violation of patient professional confidentiality yet that is the point. I believe, and my opinion only all presidential candidates should accept this as part of the process that you and I are not expected to accept and are protected.

There are obviously political and legal reasons Biden may not want to “recall” information. I don’t find this shocking. I think people in this situation given Robert Hur’s lack of education and knowledge are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

At best we can question what other areas Robert Hur steps outside of his actual education and qualifications. That is what I take out of it. He may be doing this all the time consistently which as you can imagine angers me given his high status of Special Counsel with the U.S. Department of Justice, and being on the Board of Regents for University System of Maryland. Quite troubling, since it means and yes I will leap to the conclusion he does this in other areas besides psychology.
